Welcome to Charlottesville Multisports!

All Charlottesville Tri Races are open for registration.

July 10th, 2014:

XTERRA Charlottesville now includes an off-road festival weekend named Scud Fest that will have a variety of dirt lovers events for all ages! Located at Walnut Creek Park ten miles south of the city of Charlottesville, Scud Fest will feature the traditional XTERRA off-road full and sprint distance triathlons on Sunday, August 17th. Saturday, August 16th will now include new 7k and 15k trail running races and a brand new multisport Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) event named the SUPerman Trail Run.

The SUPerman Trail Run will consist of a 500meter SUP, a 7k trail run, then a final 500meter SUP. Relay teams are welcome. The SUP will take place on Walnut Creek’s scenic lake and be point to point and the trail run will take place on much of the same bike and run course as the XTERRA Charlottesville event. We are also planning a mountain bike clinic for kids on Saturday from 2:00-3:00pm and a few other fun filled “Scud Tasks” that will make the weekend that much more memorable.

The Scud Fest weekend has been named in memory of Scott “Scud” Scudamore who tragically passed away on 12/28/13. Scud - as in Scud missile - was the 2013 XTERRA Charlottesville co-race director, longtime XTERRA Ambassador and our close friend. If you did not know Scud, I welcome you to visit www.scudfries.org to read more about this larger than life Super Man who in fact enthusiastically showed up in Superman costumes to teach kids bike skills at many regional youth bike clinics.
